She is the owner and operator of The Decorative Studio, established in 2021, where she specializes in the creation of bespoke rods tailored for a variety of fishing experiences, including surf, pier, offshore, and freshwater fishing.

Mary's journey into rod building began in 2011 when her husband, Wes, introduced her to the craft. With Wes, a skilled rod builder since 2006 and the founder of his own rod-building business in 2010, Mary quickly gained a deep understanding of the intricacies of the craft. Her dedication to precision and quality has since earned her a reputation for excellence within the rod-building community.

In addition to her work at The Decorative Studio, Mary co-founded the Southern Rod Builders group on Facebook alongside Wes.
